     The Shop will be arrayed in its holiday splendor displaying unique gifts and one of a kind finds for your browsing and buying. Shop for beautiful garden-related items, jewelry, holiday and home décor, and the limited edition of the 2013 Mill Creek MetroParks calendar from local nature photographer Scott Lanz. Profits from calendar sales support the Ohio Woodland Garden at Fellows Riverside Gardens.

Olde Fashioned Christmas at the Mill
Saturday & Sunday, 11 am – 5 pm
     Lantermans’s Mill will be open for the last weekend of the season and dressed in holiday finery. You can taste chestnuts roasted on an open fire, give Santa your wish list, purchase unique gifts from artisans demonstrating their crafts and be entertained by a juggler, a bagpiper and other fine musicians. If you wish to share the holiday spirit with others, bring a hat, scarf, or pair of mittens to decorate a “Giving Tree”. Donated items will warm-up children in need from Mahoning County this winter. Food for Fall Appetites

Spaghetti Squash- Gingered Squash

Ingredients

  • 1 small spaghetti squash cut in half, deseeded
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced ginger
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Place squash on baking dish and add the butter, honey, ginger and seasoning. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes until squash is al dente. Do not overcook the squash. Spoon out squash and check for seasoning. Keep warm for serving
Variations: Spaghetti squash in a tomato sauce with feta cheese and olives
             Spaghetti Squash with orange marmalade

                      and 5 Little Bats
